Willie Loman, an elderly salesman, goes through a crisis of identity as he feels control over his life slipping away. He is married to Linda, and has two sons, Biff and Happy. As his family pulls slowly away from him, he begins losing his grip on reality. He places his entire belief in life on success, popularity, and the American Dream. In the end, ultimately believing that he is worth as much if not more dead than alive, he ends up killing himself.
